The Wakunaga Group
Kyolic is a part of the Wakunaga Group of Companies, which was founded in Japan in 1955 by Mr. Manji Wakunaga and Dr. Eugene Schnell. After the Wakunaga Group of Companies was established in Japan, they turned their sights overseas to the American market.
In 1972, founders Mr. Wakunaga and Dr. Schnell established Wakunaga of America, headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the distribution of Aged Garlic Extract was extended to America under the brand name “Kyolic®”.
